The Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission will release four lists of virtual assets and one list specifically targeting suspicious virtual asset trading platforms.
According to a report by Hong Kong Radio Station on September 25th, in response to recent public concerns about unregulated virtual trading platforms, the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission will take multiple measures to strengthen information dissemination and investor education. CEO Ashley Alder stated that the Commission will publish four lists of virtual assets online, including licensed platform lists, closed platform lists, platforms that are treated as licensed platforms but are not licensed, and lists of new applicants.
In addition, the Commission will release a list specifically targeting suspicious virtual asset trading platforms to help the public become more aware of unlicensed or suspiciously operated platforms in the local area. The Commission's website will publish relevant lists and consider providing more information on unregulated virtual asset platforms to raise public awareness early on.
