Ledger plans to launch its private key recovery service by the end of this year.
According to BlockBeats news on September 20th, Ledger plans to launch its private key recovery service by the end of this year, despite the product's lukewarm reception when it first appeared in May. The service aims to help users recover their private keys by splitting their seed phrases into three parts and sharing them with Ledger and two other security companies, CoinCover and EscrowTech. Despite the controversy, Ledger CEO Pascal Gauthier still expects the Ledger Recover service to go live by the end of the year, with some open-source features requested by users. In addition, Ledger is also considering how to provide privacy protection tools while providing identity information when needed.
