Consensys has launched its first-generation product MetaMask Snaps, aimed at disrupting the way users interact with MetaMask.
According to BlockBeats news on September 12th, Consensys has announced the first version of MetaMask Snaps to the public. This product aims to completely change the way users interact with MetaMask and provide users with stronger operational and customization capabilities. In the initial release, MetaMask Snaps will provide 34 snaps, including transaction insights (which can identify potential security risks), interoperability with non-EVM blockchains such as Bitcoin, and Web3 notifications and other practical functions. The 34 snaps have been reviewed for security and manually added to the whitelist by the MetaMask team, and more snaps will be added to the whitelist in the future. Consensys will collect feedback from users on the use of MetaMask Snaps and continue to develop it to achieve its ultimate vision.
