Manta Network co-founder Victor Ji: Manta is one of the earliest projects to focus on interoperability, but attracting a large number of Rust language developers is more difficult.
On September 11, Victor Ji, co-founder of Manta Network, spoke at the "Build For Miracle" summit jointly hosted by Metastone and BlockBeats on the topic of "Opportunities in the ZK Narrative". During the roundtable, he stated that in 2020, there was not even a viable optimistic Rollup, and that their project focused on multi-asset privacy. To achieve this, they needed to find more interoperability, and at the time, there were only two layers focused on interoperability: Cosmos and Polkadot. They chose Polkadot and have done a lot on it, from asset privacy to credential privacy. However, it is difficult to build more applications on the Rust ecosystem as true Rust developers are few, and most of them are on Solana, making it difficult to attract them. Nonetheless, they have made significant progress every year.
