Circle has launched native USDC on Base.

According to official sources, stablecoin issuer Circle announced the launch of native USDC on Base on September 5th, as reported by BlockBeats. The USDC was previously bridged from Ethereum and had the token symbol USDbC with the contract address 0xd9aAEc86B65D86f6A7B5B1b0c42FFA531710b6CA. The new native USDC issued by Circle has the token symbol USDC with the contract address 0x833589fCD6eDb6E08f4c7C32D4f71b54bdA02913. Base will collaborate with ecosystem applications to offer optional liquidity smooth transition from USDbC to USDC over time.
