OKX's Chief Business Officer: Preparation for Hong Kong license application has entered the final stage, hoping to obtain the license in June next year.
According to a report by Huigang Communication on September 4th, OKX's global chief commercial officer, Andy Cheung, stated that the preparation for OKX HK's compliance license application in Hong Kong has entered its final stage. They hope to receive the license in June of next year and could potentially attract 100,000 to 200,000 individual investors in Hong Kong in the first year. Cheung also mentioned that they do not expect a surge in licensed brokers next year as the Securities and Futures Commission is likely to have high requirements for applicants and will want to observe their operational performance first.
