Bitfinex Report: Long-term Bitcoin holders continue to accumulate BTC.
According to BlockBeats news on August 29th, despite the recent fluctuations in Bitcoin worth billions of dollars, Bitcoin (BTC) long-term holders continue to accumulate. Bitfinex analysts stated in their weekly report that these long-term holders also appear to be holding their spot positions firmly, avoiding direct trades or using Bitcoin as collateral.
Data cited by Bitfinex shows that long-term holders continue to accumulate Bitcoin, with 40% of holders not changing their position for over three years, reaching a historical high. Analysts said, "Careful observation of the net position changes of long-term holders has shown an accumulation trend since March 2023. This behavior indicates optimism and potential resilience in the face of market volatility."
However, despite the continued accumulation of Bitcoin by holders who have held for over three years, the supply indicator of inactive holders within a year shows a more bearish sentiment. Analysts said, "Although holders who have experienced bull market peaks and bear markets remain firm, new holders who gained positions during the bear market period have shown more anxiety." These holders reportedly exited their positions during the Bitcoin price drop in July, when it hit a low of $29,000.
