BlockBeats reported on August 3rd that BNB Chain released its mainnet version 1.2.9, which introduces the hard forks Plato and Hertz. These two hard forks have already undergone comprehensive testing on the testnet and are ready to be deployed on the mainnet. Plato is expected to be deployed on August 10th, and Hertz is expected to be deployed on August 30th. BNB Chain stated that all validation nodes and full node operators on the mainnet must switch their software version to v1.2.9 by August 10th, 2023.
