Ark Invest has released its Q2 ETF report, stating that GBTC performed the best and Coinbase was the largest allocated asset.
According to the latest ETF report released by ARK on July 20th, GBTC was one of the biggest contributors to the success of ARK's next-generation internet exchange-traded fund (ARKW) in the second quarter. Other top-performing companies included Tesla, Shopify, Unity Software, and Draftkings. ARKW is one of the leading ETFs operated by ARK, with a rise of about 50% as of June 30th. ARKW aims to capture internet-based products and services, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and e-commerce, with nearly 20% of its assets related to cloud computing and about 19% related to blockchain in the second quarter.
Although GBTC was the best-performing asset of ARKW in the second quarter of 2023, in terms of asset allocation of ARKW, it lagged behind Coinbase. Grayscale's proportion was nearly as much as Tesla held by ARKW, slightly higher than 7.5%, while Coinbase was the largest allocated asset, accounting for nearly 9%. Other top-ranking assets by allocation included Jack Dorsey's cryptocurrency-related platform Block, ranking fourth and accounting for 7% of ARKW's total assets in the second quarter. Unlike GBTC, Block was one of the worst-performing top five of ARKW, dragging down its second-quarter decline by 30 basis points.
