Line Next is introducing Sega's game IP into its Web3 game.

According to BlockBeats news on July 10, social application Line's US subsidiary Line Next, which focuses on NFTs, has partnered with Japanese electronic gaming company Sega to develop a Web3 game for blockchain gaming platform Game Dosi. Line Next signed a memorandum of understanding to introduce one of Sega's popular video games to Game Dosi via IP licensing. Line Next will showcase the new game on the Game Dosi platform and support NFT creation, digital payments, and marketing activities as part of its efforts to popularize Web3 games. As previously reported by BlockBeats on July 7, Sega's Chief Operating Officer Shuji Utsumi stated that the company is currently cautious about Web3 and will not use its major game IPs for blockchain gaming. However, Sega will rely on third parties to develop Web3 games and plans to continue investing in the field.
