Meta has launched its Twitter-like Threads app, which allows users to read without limitations.
On July 6th, Meta, the parent company of Facebook, officially launched its new application Threads, which integrates with the decentralized social media protocol ActivityPub based on Mastodon. Users can log in through their Instagram accounts and the app is aimed at competing with Twitter, which is targeted by Elon Musk.
As previously reported by BlockBeats, Musk limited Twitter scraping last week by restricting verified accounts to a maximum of 10,000 tweets per day, unverified accounts to 1,000 tweets, and new unverified accounts to 500 tweets, which caused dissatisfaction among users.
At the same time, at the end of June, Musk made an online appointment with Meta founder Zuckerberg to hold an offline MMA fight, which has not yet taken place.
