Huang Licheng purchased a brand new Los Angeles mansion for $25 million.
BlockBeats news reported on June 19th that Huang Licheng, also known as "Brother Ma Ji", purchased a brand new luxury mansion located on Bird Street in Los Angeles, California for $25 million. The mansion has a total area of 14,000 square feet (approximately 1,300 square meters) with 5 bedrooms, 8 bathrooms, a wine cellar, a marble bar, and a large gym. It was designed by Vantage Design Group and sold by Hankey Capital.
On June 17th, Huang Licheng stated that blockchain detective ZachXBT had damaged his reputation with an article published a year ago and had filed a defamation lawsuit against ZachXBT in the Western District Court of Texas, USA. He later demanded an apology from ZachXBT and stated that any compensation would be donated to charity.
Since then, "Brother Ma Ji" has been caught in a public opinion storm. ZachXBT responded by stating that Huang Licheng's lawsuit was baseless and that he would fight back to defend freedom of speech. In less than two days, ZachXBT has received over $1 million in donations to pay for legal fees. Institutions and KOLs such as Binance, Bankless, Coinbase Cloud protocol leader Viktor Bunin, CertiK, Cosmos, and Justin Sun have shown their support and made donations.
