FBI: Southeast Asian fraudulent recruitment scams force victims to carry out cryptocurrency investment fraud schemes.

BlockBeats News, on May 25th, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) recently issued a warning that there is a risk of fraudulent recruitment advertisements related to labor trafficking in Southeast Asian scams, where victims are detained, threatened, and forced to carry out international cryptocurrency investment fraud plans against their will. Criminals post false recruitment advertisements on social media and online job sites, covering job positions such as technical support, call center customer service, and beauty salon technicians, claiming that job seekers will receive competitive salaries, generous benefits, paid travel expenses, and accommodation and food expenses. After job seekers arrive overseas, criminals use various means to coerce them into carrying out cryptocurrency investment plans, such as confiscating passports and travel documents, violent threats, or direct violence.
