The smart contract wallet UniPass and the hardware wallet Keystone have announced their merger into Account Labs.
On May 20th, BlockBeats reported that the smart contract wallet UniPass and hardware wallet Keystone have merged to form Account Labs. Former Keystone CEO Liu Lixin will serve as Account Labs CEO, responsible for external affairs such as business development, growth, and financing. Former UniPass CEO Zhixian will serve as Account Labs COO, responsible for internal affairs such as product and team development.
Keystone hardware wallet is a hardware wallet that uses QR codes for data transmission and can achieve "never-touch-the-internet" for mnemonic phrases and private keys. It became the first hardware wallet to support MetaMask Mobile in April 2022.
UniPass is a low-threshold, non-custodial smart contract wallet solution that provides a seedless, gasless user experience.
After the merger, Account Labs will retain the original Keystone and UniPass businesses. Existing users and customers will not be affected, and Account Labs will continue to explore the possibility of collaboration between the two in the field of account abstraction, committed to enabling more people to easily own and manage their decentralized accounts, and bringing billions of users into the Web3 world.
