HIVE Blockchain, a mining company, plans to conduct a $100 million equity financing to double its hash power to 6 EH/s.
BlockBeats news, on May 12th, Bitcoin mining company HIVE Blockchain announced its plan to roughly double its hash power to 6 EH/s. To achieve this, HIVE Blockchain will issue and sell $100 million of common shares to support the plan.
HIVE Blockchain also stated that they have purchased new-generation mining machines with a total hash rate of 1.26 EH/s, including 0.71 EH/s of Bitmain Antminer models and the rest composed of mining machines customized by Hive using Intel semiconductors. The company emphasized that the power efficiency and purchase price of their mining machines are expected to "optimize the short-term return on investment of cash flow for operating these machines."
