Circle CFO: Expects to increase headcount by 25% this year and plans to go public again in the future
Jeremy Fox-Geen, chief financial officer of Circle, a Stablecoin issuer, said that the company had about 900 employees at the end of last year and expects to increase that number by 15% to 25% by 2023. That's 135 to 225 more employees. "We are growing and investing, and we are fortunate to be able to sustain our investments," Fox-Geen said. "Reduce growth carefully and focus on what matters most."
In addition, Fox-Geen said Circle intends to plan to go public again, but probably not this year. Fox-Geen said: "Circle is waiting for better market conditions away from the events of the TerraUSD collapse and the crypto exchange FTX collapse so that public market investors can reassess the future of the digital asset business. We plan to remain on the road to going public and will take the necessary steps to achieve this as soon as practicable."
