Wyoming's new digital Assets Act will prohibit mandatory disclosure of private keys from July 1
BlockBeats reports that on February 16, the US House of Representatives of Wyoming passed a new digital assets bill, which will prohibit courts in the state from forcing a person to disclose his or her private key to a digital asset. "No person shall be compelled to produce a private key or inform any other person of the private key in any civil, criminal, administrative, legislative or other proceeding." Exceptions may be made if the public key is not available or cannot disclose details of digital assets, digital identities, or other interests or rights. The law will take effect on July 1, 2023.
