Source: Federal prosecutors are investigating insider trading between DCG and Genesis

BlockBeats, Jan. 7: The U.S. District attorney in Brooklyn is targeting Digital Currency Group Inc., according to people familiar with the matter. To investigate possible internal transfers and transactions with its Genesis subsidiary. Prosecutors have begun demanding interviews and documents from DCG officials. The Securities and Exchange Commission is also investigating DCG, but the probe is at an early stage and none of Barry Silbert, Digital Currency Group or any of its subsidiaries have been accused of wrongdoing at this time, according to another person familiar with the matter.
