In 2022, the Web3 sector received over $7.1 billion in financing, with game startups accounting for 62.5%

Web3 startups received $7,169,997,888 in funding in 2022, according to Metaverse Post's year-end report. The report divides startups into gaming, metacomes, social networks, infrastructure, AR&VR, and AI. Gaming, Metacomes, and social networking were the top three investment categories, earning $4.49 billion (62.5%), $1.82 billion (25.4%), and $259.1 million (3.6%), respectively. The infrastructure, AR&VR and AI categories were $208 million, $178.6 million and $136.5 million, respectively.
