Forty per cent of the Octopus Network core team will leave and the team Token incentive will be suspended indefinitely
BlockBeats news, on December 26, Louis Liu, founder of Octopus Network, a multi-chain encryption Network built based on NEAR, posted on social media that Octopus Network's core team will start a voluntary separation plan to achieve restructuring. As of now, about 40% of the members (12 out of 30) will leave the core team through the program. The rest of the team accepted a 20% pay cut and the team Token incentive was suspended indefinitely.
Louis Liu said the plan is designed to get Octopus Network through the crypto winter, and next year the team will focus on NEAR and IBC as strategic building blocks. Octopus 2.0 will connect to various application chains (based on Substrate or Cosmos SDK) and all IBC-enabled blockchains. If users have any questions about Octopus 2.0 and the core team refactoring, Louis Liu will answer them in a community conference call on January 8.
