The numbers: There have been 6,366 NFT-related U.S. trademark filings this year, nearly triple the number in 2021

As reported by The Block, Mike Kondoudis, a trademark registration attorney with The US Trademark Office, said that as of The end of September, there had been 6,366 US trademark applications for NFTS and related blockchain goods and services in 2022, This is nearly three times the total of 2,142 in 2021. March 2022 was the most intensive month for NFT-related trademark applications, with 1,080 filed. Companies that have filed trademarks this year include McDonald's, Crocs, CVS and television personality Dr.Oz.
