Metaverse company MyMetaverse is introducing NFTS to its Minecraft and GTA 5 servers
MyMetaverse has successfully introduced NFTS into several games, including its servers in Minecraft, despite previous rules from Minecraft developer Mojang Studios that prohibit NFTS.
MyMetaverse CEO Simon Kertonegoro said Minecraft's NFT-specific rules are meant to protect players from negative experiences, and many servers violate them. However, Kertonegoro stressed that in their own servers, they were able to introduce NFTS without breaking the rules of the game. MyMetaverse's approach is to not offer any pay-to-win NFTS and make their best NFTS free to earn. "We want to show Mojang that this is a way to benefit them, to benefit their player base, and to benefit the industry as a whole."
In addition to Minecraft, NFTS created by MyMetaverse are interoperable and can be used for other games, such as the company's GTAV servers and its massively multiplayer online (MMO) Infinity Realm.
