The U.S. Blockchain Association is launching a political action committee that will donate to candidates who support cryptocurrencies
The US Blockchain Association is launching a political action committee (PAC) that will contribute to the campaigns of "pro-cryptocurrency candidates" from both parties, said Kristin Smith, executive director of the US Blockchain Association, according to Bloomberg. The committee will still donate to candidates for this November's election, but it did not say which candidates.
"We believe that cryptocurrency is, by definition, a non-partisan issue, and we will support candidates in that spirit and seek the best advocates for the technology, no matter what side they come from," said Kristin Smith.
